New Food & Beverage Operator for Jersey Airport

Following a comprehensive tender process, Ports of Jersey has identified a preferred food & beverage operator to provide catering & refreshment services at Jersey Airport. Casual Dining Group (CDG) already operates some of the UK's favourite restaurant brands, including Café Rouge, Las Iguanas and Bella Italia and currently manages a number of franchises in UK airports, including Heathrow, Inverness and Luton.
As part of the 10-year agreement, which comes into effect as from 01 March 2017, CDG will be investing £1m in enhancing the five outlets at Jersey Airport to deliver a variety of high quality freshly prepared food with a different service style. This will include a Rapide Kitchen in both the arrivals and departures terminal, providing freshly prepared grab-and-go items, including breakfast pastries, baguettes, sandwiches, salads and health pots, as well as hot food, available to take away or sit in. This will be complemented by a Brasserie in the airside departures lounge, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner, featuring table service
In the meantime, the catering and refreshment concessions at Jersey Airport will continue to be operated by Autogrill, which has enjoyed an excellent working relationship with Ports of Jersey for many years. Existing staff will undergo training and transfer to the CDG concessions while further opportunities are likely to become available to employ additional staff.

Managing Director of Concessions and Franchising for CDG, Mark Nelson, comments, "This is quite a coup and shows our determination to take our strong all-day restaurant brands into new locations and to expand the CDG concession presence in airports. All of this, together with the Bella Italia restaurant we already operate in St Helier will combine to strengthen our position in Jersey".
During peak summer season and at select intervals throughout the year, CDG will operate a series of pop-ups, presenting the best that Jersey food and drink suppliers have to offer, including seafood, Black Butter and Liberation Brewery beer.
