Future Airport - Public 'Drop-In' sessions arranged

​Two public 'drop-in' sessions have been arranged in January 2018 for islanders interested in the future development plans for Jersey Airport.

Representatives from the project management team will be at St Peter's Parish Hall on Saturday morning 13 January 2018 between 10am-12pm and Wednesday evening
17 January 2018 between 6pm and 8pm to discuss the plans with members of the public.

Ports of Jersey announced its plans in early December 2017 to create an integrated arrivals and departures terminal at Jersey Airport, which will see an extension to the existing departures terminal building with the construction of a mezzanine floor to create a larger central security search area and airside departures lounge. The new arrivals facility, including baggage reclaim together with customs and immigration will be created on the ground floor of the existing terminal, which is where the current airside departures lounge is located. The existing arrivals terminal, which impacts on the safety and operational capabilities of Jersey Airport will be removed following the completion of the integrated terminal.

Ports of Jersey is actively encouraging the public to submit their ideas and images to help shape the detailed design stages of the project, which has already seen a positive response. An email address, futureairport@ports.je  has been created to which any specific questions, comments or ideas relating to the project can be submitted.  Furthermore, a dedicated area on the website, jerseyairport.com has been created to allow Ports of Jersey to post updates and answer any specific questions and/or concerns that may have been raised.
