Jersey Marinas showcases the Island at Southampton Boat Show

Jersey Marinas will once again be showcasing the Island and its marina facilities at this year's Southampton Boat Show, which takes place between Friday 15 and Sunday 24 September 2017.
Partnering up for the first time with the APPB (Association of Ports de Plaisance de Brittany) as well as Normandy the showcase stand will be in a prime location in the Ocean Hall. Under its banner headline "Welcome to the finest cruising playground in Northern Europe", Jersey Marinas will also be joined by local boat owner David de Gruchy, who will be promoting his new App that aims to assist navigators make the most of the cruising ground throughout the south coast and Norman Bretagne region.
Jersey Marinas has regularly attended the annual Southampton Boat Show, which is now in its 49th year and the largest nautical show of its kind in the British Isles. Group Leisure Manager for Ports of Jersey, Mike Tait who is responsible for Jersey Marinas, says, "The Southampton Boat Show is a magnet for boating enthusiasts and therefore, the perfect event to promote our own facilities. We have forged stronger and closer links with our maritime colleagues in Normandy and Brittany in recent years and our participation in the prestigious reciprocal Passeport Escales initiative has allowed Jersey boat owners to access in excess of 130 marinas in England, France, Belgium and Holland while opening up available berths in Jersey to visiting European sailors".
Although not officially launched until later this year, the attendance of Jersey Marinas at the event is also expected to generate interest in the 2018 Barclays Jersey Boat Show, which will take place in and around St Helier Marina over the Bank Holiday Weekend of Saturday 05 and Monday 07 May 2018.
