Jersey Airport prepares for 'Battle 2017'

From Jersey Airport,
02 August 2017

With just over a week to go until the Island plays host to one of the largest and most colourful events of the summer, Jersey Airport is once again preparing its own floral welcome for arriving passengers as part of the annual Battle of Flowers celebrations.

On Saturday 05 August, a number of arriving passengers, many of who will be visiting Jersey specifically for the floral event will be personally greeted in the Airport arrivals terminal by Miss Jersey Battle of Flowers 2017, Evie Bertram, accompanied by her Consort and Miss Junior Battle. The trio will be joined by Battle Bee and handing out leis and flowers to arriving air passengers as part of the official launch of Battle Week celebrations.

The floral greeting has become something of a tradition at the Airport and the trio are expected to be in the arrivals terminal between 12:00 midday and 2:30pm.
