As an island, the sea plays an important role in everyday life, especially those taking to the water for leisure activities. Jersey Coastguard, one of the Island's emergency service providers, is responsible for the safety and well-being of vessels and people in and around Jersey's coastline. Members of Jersey Coastguard carry out a number of educational visits to Jersey's schools, bringing the message of sea safety to our younger community on behalf of themselves and the RNLI. Subject matters can vary, depending on the audience age/interests and can range from general safety at sea messages to more practical advice and assistance for those with water craft.
Should you wish to arrange an educational visit from Jersey Coastguard please email in the first instance Jamie Dollimore (firstname.lastname@example.org) for further details. Please remember to include contact details and what you are looking to achieve so we can get back to you.
