Coronavirus updates

Information from Ports of Jersey in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and the actions Jersey Airport is taking.

The safety and well-being of our staff, business partners and airport users remains our top priority. We are continuing to follow the guidelines provided by Government of Jersey's Health Department relating to Coronavirus (COVID-19). We're continuing to work with them to determine what further steps may be needed, should circumstances change in the future.

We are working closely with the Health Department on a range of measures to help keep our passengers and airport colleagues safe. Following the advice from the Government of Jersey on Coronavirus, we are displaying information for passengers throughout the terminals with the latest advice. We have also implemented additional cleaning processes and procedures, for example enhanced cleaning of security trays and other facilities in our terminal buildings.

Should you have any specific questions relating to your travel plans or if your flight has been affected you must contact your airline directly. This can often be done online via 'Manage my Booking' or by telephoning the relevant customer services departments. In closing, it's important to mention that we are an airport and not experts in health management or virus control. We therefore rely on the expertise provided by the Government of Jersey and public health bodies.

 

Advice for travellers at Jersey Airport

Q. Is Jersey Airport still operating?

A. Yes, and flights are currently arriving and departing as planned. For detailed information about your flight please contact your airline.

 

Q. How can I find out if my flight is cancelled?

A. If your airline cancels your flight, it will contact you in advance to let you know. If your flight is cancelled do not travel to the airport. For detailed information about flight schedules or flight cancellations, please contact your airline.

We recommend that you take out appropriate travel insurance as soon as you book your trip.

 

Q. Are lounges at the airport still open?

A. Yes, the airside departures airport lounge at Jersey is still open.

 

Q. Do I need to allow extra time to travel through the airport?

A. Jersey Airport is operating as planned. However, we recommend allowing yourself plenty of time to go through security and reach your gate.

 

Q. Can I take hand sanitiser gel through airport security?

A. Yes, you can, provided the bottle size is under 100ml, and it is in a sealed, clear plastic bag with your other liquids. This bag must be taken out of your hand luggage and placed in the tray separately. Please check your bags and pockets carefully before going through security to make sure you aren't accidentally carrying any other liquids. Read more about airport security

 

Q. Can I pack hand sanitiser gel in my hold luggage?

A. Yes, you can pack bottles of hand sanitiser in your hold luggage, subject to your airline's baggage allowance and the hold baggage restrictions.

 

Q. Can I take anti-bacterial wipes through security in my hand luggage?

A. Yes you can. Anti-bacterial wipes are not considered liquids and can be taken through security. You do not need to put wipes in your liquids bag.
