Flydirect shows its new colours

CI. Travel Group has revealed a fresh new look for its brand FlyDirect which offers direct holidays and flights from Jersey to the Spanish sun destinations of Tenerife, Majorca and Costa del Sol.
FlyDirect has been taking Channel Island residents to the Spanish sun for over 40 years. The company’s re-brand has come at an opportune time as the landscape of travel and the role of a Tour Operator has changed considerably in 2020 and focus turns to the future and 2021 holidays.“As a forward thinking company we want to make sure that we’re a step ahead in our industry. The uncertain time recently has given us chance to reinvent ourselves, to emerge stronger as a brand that will lead for the future,” said Robert Mackenzie, Managing Director of C. I. Travel Group.
FlyDirect has evolved through the years while still retaining an excellent reputation for direct flights from the Channel Islands. The brand was bought by C. I. Travel Group in 2007 and in 2014, the green, blue and yellow colours it was known for changed to the turquoise and orange that is now synonymous with direct flights from Jersey. Working with specialist branding agency Mantra Brand House, FlyDirect has further developed to a more modern look as the travel experts wanted to explore how the company has evolved and how branding has changed since 2014 when their last brand was put together.
Mackenzie continues, “this most recent re-brand presents a modern new identity combining clean, simple fonts with a muted but warm and vibrant colour palate that reflects the quality of the brand, the warmth of the team and the relaxing but exciting feeling of holidays.” The new look hasn’t only been about appearance but it has also taken into account the functionality and usability of the website. FlyDirect now takes almost three quarters of their bookings online therefore ensuring their digital shop is easy to use and engaging in its approach was a key focus for this project.
In addition to the new appearance, the new logo has incorporated the word ‘holidays’ as the Tour Operator wants to reinforce that they have a wide range of accommodation options available to be packaged with their direct flights. In recent months package holidays have grown in popularity due to the financial security that they offer holiday-makers as well as the ease of changing all your holiday elements in one place.
