Jersey Airport Director steps down from role

Ports of Jersey confirms that Airport Director, Inez Bartolo has stepped down from her role and has been replaced by Head of Air Traffic Services, Robin MacRae.
Mrs Bartolo, who took over the role in December 2018 has taken this personal decision due to family commitments in the UK following the pandemic. She continues to be employed by Ports of Jersey in an advisory capacity, ensuring a smooth transition to her successor.
Mr MacRae joined Ports of Jersey in April 2019 having previously worked as Head of Operations at Highlands & Islands (HIAL) in Scotland. He has been working closely alongside Inez during the pandemic in terms of operational activities at Jersey Airport but has now officially assumed Airport Director responsibilities.
Paying tribute to the former Airport Director, CEO for Ports of Jersey, Matt Thomas says, “I would like to offer my sincere thanks and appreciation on behalf of everyone across the company for the valuable contribution, professionalism and dedication that Inez has given to the role as Airport Director. While we are disappointed to see her go, we fully understand her reasons for doing so and wish her well”.
Commenting on the appointed of Mr MacRae, he continues, “I would like to congratulate Robin on his successful appointment as Airport Director. In a short period of time he has brought a great deal of knowledge and experience to Ports of Jersey and I have no doubt that he will be a valuable asset to our business as we face the challenging times ahead”.
