Preparing for Easter 2019 Get-Away

From Jersey Airport
17th April 2019

Ports of Jersey is reminding departing air passengers to allow longer than usual for their journey through Jersey Airport over the coming days as the busy ‘Easter Get-Away’ begins. Between Thursday 18 April and Monday 22 April 2019, almost 23,000 passengers are expected to travel in and out of the Airport and with a high number of flights, this can create larger than usual volumes of passengers; therefore, sufficient time should be allowed for passengers checking in hold luggage and clearing central security.

Easter Monday, 22 April 2019 is particularly busy for inbound services as islanders return to Jersey in time for the start of the school term, which for many youngsters begins on Tuesday.

Passengers who need to book special assistance with their journey must contact their airline prior to travelling to the Airport. Similarly, passengers should refer to their airline directly in relation to baggage and weight restrictions. As always, flight status update will be available to view online at

Chocolate Easter Eggs are permitted in hand luggage – but may be subject to security screening and shouldn’t contain liquids!
