Advice for airline passengers

Published: 16 December 2024

Jersey Airport is preparing for a week of busy Christmas travel and is advising passengers to arrive in good time for their flights.

From Friday 20th to Tuesday 24th December there are 218 flights scheduled, with up to 22,000 people travelling. As well as a regular services to and from the UK, there are also charters to Tenerife and Madeira. With this many busy flights, passengers can expect some queuing and should therefore leave plenty of time to check in their hold luggage and clear security.

The 100ml rule is still in place. Liquids, aerosols, gels and pastes in containers up to 100ml can be carried in your hand luggage. They should be removed and placed in the security trays for screening, but there’s no need to place them in a separate tray or in a plastic bag.

Any presents carried in hand luggage should remain unwrapped.

Motorists can use the overflow car park, which is first on the left as you drive into the airport. It works in the same way as the long-stay car park. And for those fetching friends or family members, it is free to park in the long-stay car park for 30 minutes.

Passengers who need to book special assistance for their journey should contact their airline before travelling to the Airport. All passengers should check baggage rules with their airline and security regulations with any airports they will be using on their journey.

Information about the system at Jersey Airport, and how to prepare yourself for Security, is available online.
