August bank holiday travel advice

From Jersey Airport
23rd August 2023

Ports of Jersey is reminding departing air passengers to allow longer than usual for their journey through Jersey Airport in the coming days, as the busy bank holiday weekend approaches.

Between Friday 25 August and Tuesday 29 August more than 20,000 passengers are expected to travel in and out of the Airport. With a large number of flights, many departing within minutes of each other, passengers are advised to leave plenty of time to check in their hold luggage and to clear security.

Passengers who need to book special assistance for their journey should contact their airline before travelling to the Airport and all passengers should check baggage rules with their airlines.

If you’re due to fly into the airport this weekend, try to pre-arrange your transport from the airport. You can pre-book a taxi, there are regular buses into St Helier, there is a summer parking promotion, and anyone fetching friends and family from the airport can park for free in the long stay car park for thirty minutes.
