Jet2’s significant expansion for summer 2027 has been warmly welcomed by Jersey’s business community, following the airline’s announcement of new routes and increased capacity.

The programme will see up to 120,000 seats available and as many as 15 flights per week, further strengthening connectivity with key UK markets. Business groups have highlighted the positive impact this growth is expected to have on the visitor economy and local businesses.

Lee Madden, President, Jersey Chamber of Commerce said: “Jet2’s significant expansion of activity for its summer 2027 programme is a strong vote of confidence in Jersey as a destination and its appeal within the UK leisure market. Expanding routes and capacity will enable more tourists to discover our island, supporting our members in the visitor economy across multiple sectors.”

The summer 2027 programme represents a 140% increase in capacity compared to summer 2026. It includes new routes from Birmingham and Bristol, as well as an extended season from Manchester, with these additions complementing existing services from East Midlands, Leeds Bradford and Newcastle.

Marcus Calvani, Co-CEO, Jersey Hospitality Association echoed this: “Increasing capacity and extending the season into late October is fantastic news for Jersey’s hospitality sector. The additional flights and regional routes combined with Jet2’s strong market reach will attract more visitors and encourage travel into the shoulder season.”
