Easter travel advice

Published: 16 April 2025

This weekend, from Friday to Monday, more than 18,000 passengers are expected to travel in and out of Jersey Airport, and nearly 6,000 ferry passengers will be travelling between Jersey, France and the UK.

Ports of Jersey is reminding departing air and sea passengers to allow longer than usual for their journey through the Airport and ferry terminal, as the Easter weekend will be busy.

Anyone travelling through the Airport with children can keep them entertained by hunting for the Puffin Pals’ missing Easter eggs. Postcards explaining the hunt are available in the family area, where children will be challenged to find the missing eggs and match them to the right Puffin Pal.

Passengers are also advised to leave plenty of time to check in their hold luggage and clear security at the Airport. We recommend arriving two hours before departure time for most flights, and 90 minutes for Blue Islands. There may be queues at busy times, but Ports of Jersey teams will ensure that everyone gets to their flights as quickly as possible.

Checklist for air passengers

  • Leave laptops, tablets, and other electronic devices in your hand baggage
  • If you have more than one electronic device, leave one in your bag and place any others in a separate tray
